Christopher McIntosh, MSW, R.S.W.
Clinical Counsellor
I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Calgary. I have served in counselling, clinical supervision, and leadership roles in health and social care organizations.
Counselling is an opportunity to pause the pressures of the outside world and reflect on your thoughts, feelings, needs and goals. As a counsellor, I believe in creating a caring and nonjudgmental space where you can explore the challenges of living. Engaging in counselling takes courage and can provide you with the experience of being heard and understood in a way that may have been missing from your life in the past.
My work with you will be a partnership in which I respect you as your life expert. My contribution is to help you identify self-awareness and explore options that allow you to reach your goals. I draw from evidence-informed therapeutic practices and seek to continuously learn new and evolving ways to support those I work alongside. My counselling relationships are founded upon integrity, trust, and respect for the many diverse aspects of us that make us unique.
I look forward to working with you to reach your counselling goals.
